Volvo Car Group is integrating the digital streaming music service Spotify into the vehicle dash through Volvo’s Sensus Connected Touch. The integration is both voice-activated and touch enabled. Drivers can stream music with a 3G/4G dongle or via the driver’s mobile phone connection through their dashboard.

South American vehicle sales are forecast to reach 4.5 million units by 2014, with Brazil accounting for 60% of the total. According to ANFAVEA, Brazil’s National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, new car sales in Argentina and Colombia were up by 50% and 25% respectively over unit sales in 2006, and new car sales tripled in Peru from 2006 to 2010.
