Nine automakers plan Apple “Eyes Free” integration

Nine automakers are reportedly working to bring Apple’s Siri concierge feature into cars within the next year. They are Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Honda, General Motors, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes, and Toyota. Mention of the automakers’ intent was made during Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference. A slide shown during a keynote address illustrated Apple’s “Eyes Free” concept with an iPhone mounted in the center of a BMW dashboard.
