IR introduces power MOSFETs in TO-220 Fullpak

International Rectifier (IR®)  introduced a family of automotive-qualified power MOSFETs housed in a rugged TO-220 fullpak package for automotive applications including BLDC motors, pumps and cooling systems. The TO-220 fullpak package eliminates the need for additional insulating hardware to simplify design and improve overall system reliability. The new devices are qualified according to AEC-Q101 standards, feature an environmentally friendly, lead-free and RoHS compliant bill of materials.  Read more...

Renesas puts power MOSFETs in 8-Pin HSON package

The number of vehicle electronic control units increases each year, creating a need to minimize module size and weight while maximizing functionality. To those ends, Renesas Electronics Corporation has introduced seven new power metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect-transistor (MOSFET) products in 8-pin HSON (heat sink small outline non-leaded) packages that occupy just 48 percent of the surface area of the previous TO-252 package.  Read more...
