Automakers Alliance credits technology with reducing highway fatalities

The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers cited new lifesaving technology as one of the primary factors in driving down vehicle fatality rates in the U.S.  Traffic deaths fell to the lowest level in 56 years in 2009, with fewer than 34,000 people killed, according to U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood (www.nhtsa.gov).

July 22, 2009 – QNX Software Systems said that TCS Navigator, an off-board navigation product from TeleCommunication Systems (TCS), has been integrated into the QNX CAR application platform. QNX CAR helps automotive developers quickly prototype and develop infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters, and other in-car electronics products.
