South American vehicle sales are forecast to reach 4.5 million units by 2014, with Brazil accounting for 60% of the total. According to ANFAVEA, Brazil’s National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, new car sales in Argentina and Colombia were up by 50% and 25% respectively over unit sales in 2006, and new car sales tripled in Peru from 2006 to 2010.

Listeners can seamlessly access and discover over 10,000 shows on Stitcher in their car.

Coulomb Technologies said Google, Inc. has deployed more than 70 electric vehicle charging stations managed by the ChargePoint® Network at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, CA. The charging stations are used by employee-owned electric vehicles, as well as the company’s growing car sharing program for Googlers (GFleet), which includes Chevrolet Volts and Nissan LEAFs.

TI processors support QNX Car application platform

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) is providing pre-integrated hardware support for the QNX® CAR application platform. The collaboration will allow QNX CAR participants to take advantage of TI’s AM3517 and OMAP3530 processors, both of which are based on ARM architecture.
