Volvo selects Ener1 Li-Ion battery for C30 electric car

Ener1, Inc. said the Volvo C30 Electric car is powered by Ener1′s EnerDel battery. Volvo President and CEO Stefan Jacoby said a test fleet of C30 vehicles will go on the road in the U.S. later this year. Volvo and Ener1 have been working on the C30 in Europe and the U.S. for the past two years.

AeroVironment, Inc. (AV) said lithium-ion battery maker EnerDel, a subsidiary of Ener1, Inc. will purchase eight AV electric vehicle power cycling and test systems.

Lithium-ion battery maker EnerDel, Inc., a subsidiary of Ener1, Inc., has named Richard L. Stanley as company president and Robert (Bob) Lawson as vice president of business development for North America. Former EnerDel chief executive officer Ulrik Grape has been named president of Ener1 Europe.

July 27, 2009  - An electric drivetrain developed by Think (www.think.no/) and powered by a lithium-ion battery system made by Ener1 (www.ener1.com) subsidiary EnerDel (www.enerdel.com) has been delivered to the Japan Postal Service (www.post.japanpost.jp) via conversion partner Zero Sports (www.zerosports.co.jp).
