Elektrobit (EB) Automotive has formed a connected car team that will be led by Dr. Rainer Holve. Holve, formerly vice president and general manager of automotive software in Farmington Hills, Michigan, will be based in Erlangen, Germany, and report to EB Automotive president Alexander Kocher.
“We are expanding our efforts to enhance in-vehicle experiences by providing carmakers with innovative ways to meet increasing consumer expectations,” said Kocher. “Rainer Holve will be responsible for establishing a team that addresses the connected experience across the vehicle, from ECU to HMI, navigation, and driver assistance.”
The connected car team will work with EB’s product and engineering teams to develop next-generation connected car offerings for EB customers throughout the world.
“Our goal is to continually deliver on EB’s commitment to provide our customers with the most innovative, up-to-date infotainment, driver assistance and ECU technologies that serve as brand differentiators in today’s highly competitive new-car marketplace,” said Holve.
“EB is well-known for being a leading software and services technology partner to the automotive industry and our connected car team will only enhance our ability to provide our customers with the benefits of development speed, flexibility, customization, interoperability and productivity at a lower cost of ownership.”
